Melanie Trygg (she, her)

Classes offered: OM Vinyasa Flow, OM Power Vinyasa

Studio Leader, Mother, Fashion Designer, and seeker of wisdom. I view the ancient practice of physical asana (postures) as an opportunity to explore mental, spiritual, and physical challenge from the inside - out. My classes offer challenge from a place of worthiness, with the belief that all bodies are both capable and deserving of strength and relaxation. Personally, Yoga has helped break my own attachment to what my body “should” look like, and instead direct focus to what makes my body feel like home.

Tabitha Rose (she, her)

Classes offered: OM Vinyasa Flow

My practice has guided me for about 15 years now and I have been teaching for 9 of them. I have had the pleasure of helping all ages, levels and body types find space and peace within their form and have loved doing so in the process. It feeds me to serve you. I combined my knowledge of Yoga with the understanding of the human anatomy, physiology, and psychology, to create a class that is both inspiring and motivating. Reminding you the importance of honoring yourself as well as others in this life. I hope that you leave the session with a kinder and brighter outlook on the world and your interactions with others become more positive and mindful.

It is in times like these that personal growth and practice are at the core of our daily function. We can find that in the simplicity of doing the little things each day we begin to clearly see the beauty and bounty over a life time. Breathing, Eating, Feeling, Moving, Caring, Sleeping, and Warmth are ingrained within each of us as gifts we can share with ourselves and those around us... a body seeking to be nurtured. I hope to offer space for you to return to your roots, to nourish your soul and to find peace of mind while you invite movement and breath into a daily routine. Providing a practice with the intent to bring us closer rather than apart.

Samantha Fisher (she, her)

Classes offered: Morning Yoga

Nourishment, curiosity, love, and play are the heart of my practice. My classes are practices of embodiment and presence, here to support all of you right where you are. Grounded in earthy wisdom and inspiration, we align with our center, take up the space of our bodies, and move how they lead us. Among many other things, my practice is informed by Samarya and Hatha/alignment-based yoga, Qigong in the Moga Dao tradition, and wisdom and inspiration from the natural world. It is my hope that you too find great delight in exploring and engaging with your body and whole self as we play in our practice together.

My heart is full of gratitude to my teachers Melonie Nielson, Molly Lannon Kenny, Katja Biesanz, and Scott Kloos as well as the many other human-and-other beings who have supported the development of these practices I now share with you.

Susie Frank (she, her)

Classes Offered: OM Slow Yoga

Susie Frank (200 hr RYT) moved to the Orcas Community over 30 years ago. In that time she has planned events, owned and operated restaurants over a decade, and began teaching swimming to the Orcas children, a labor of love that has spanned 25 years. She discovered her connection with Yoga in 2009, finding that this practice helped bring balance, reduce stress and develop a greater sense of well being in all aspects of her life. Being a distance swimmer she found an instant and deep connection to the focus of breath, body awareness and mindfulness needed when practicing Yoga. She received her Yoga teacher training from 8 Limbs Yoga, Seattle in 2016; training with teachers; Anne-Phyfe Palmer, Chiara Guerrieri, Jenny Hayo and Melina Meza. Though her intent did not start out as a teacher, with the encouragement and support of Suzi Zobrist she joined the Orcas Mandala teaching staff. In addition to 8 Limbs, she counts with deep gratitude Suzi Zobrist, Djuna Mascall-Devereaux, Christine Comito and Minta Allred amongst her teachers.
